Benedikt Rieger is an experienced investment industry and commodity trading professional with a strong background in institutional advisory, trade finance and global oil and petrochemical markets. At Caprock AG he serves as Co-founder and Managing Partner. The firm supports institutional investors and commodity trading houses with specialized advisory services in trade finance and business development across the commodities sector. In addition, he also serves as Managing Director and Board Member of a Swiss based trading company that forms part of an international group active in global petroleum and petrochemical markets. In this capacity he focuses on the strategic expansion into the European market. Before co-founding Caprock AG, Benedikt held senior positions in the Swiss financial sector. He served in a leadership role at a hedge fund and alternative investment firm specializing in trade finance solutions for institutional clients and was as Partner at an international private equity firm concentrating on direct investments.
Benedikt has built a reputation for structuring new market entries, deep market insights, and long-term client relationships across both the financial and commodity sectors. He holds certifications in Swiss financial market regulation, including advertising and offering of financial instruments, information technology and business continuity management, code of conduct requirements, and compliance certificate with regulatory requirements for financial integrity and risk prevention.

Raphael Hirsiger is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Caprock AG, a Swiss company focused on building long-term portfolios of ventures across diversified markets. He also serves as Board Member and Managing Director of the group’s commodity trading venture, where he leads strategy, growth, and operational performance.
Before starting the firm, Raphael worked as a product owner and front-office sales at Credit Suisse and later at a boutique asset manager. This gave him practical experience in financial markets and a strong foundation in project leadership and management. He holds a Bachelor in Banking and Finance and has spent many years sharpening his expertise by studying global market trends and opportunities.
Since founding Caprock in 2022, he has focused on deal structuring, business development, strategic planning, and scaling business models in international markets. He has led multiple growth initiatives, managed cross-border projects, and helped guide the company’s expanding portfolio toward sustainable value creation.
Outside his professional responsibilities, Raphael is involved in motorsport, supporting his brother’s racing career and working with sponsors and partners to bring them into a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
